Event Cloning Checklist

Overview

The new Cloning functionality in Amego allows an easy way to replicate existing events while selecting specific components to include. After your event as been cloned, it is important to review and update key settings to ensure a seamless experience. This checklist outlines the necessary steps to finalize a cloned event before publishing it. If you need an event cloned, please reach out to us.

Settings

  • Update Basics: Review and update the event name, dates, and other fundamental details.
  • Configure EMS Integration: Ensure the event is properly integrated with the Event Management System (EMS) if applicable.
  • Add CMS Users: Add users that need CMS access to make updates and configure the app.

Design

  • Review Logos & Colors: Confirm that the branding for this event is updated or showing as expected.

Content & Attendees

  • Review Sessions, Speakers and Sponsors: Confirm that the data from the EMS (if applicable) or from Import template is showing properly.
  • Review Attendees: Confirm that the attendee data from the EMS (if applicable) or from Import template is showing properly.
  • Add Testers: Add testers to Amego so others can review the app prior to releasing it to attendees.

Screens

  • Setup Home Screen: Verify that the home screen layout and CTAs are correctly configured.
  • Setup Sponsor Screen: Select the sponsors that should be included. Ensure sponsor details and social elements appear correctly.
  • Confirm Library Content: Check that all necessary content is visible and filters are set as needed.

Engagement

  • Review Engagement Tools: Event surveys, polls and QA are copied from the previous event, please edit as needed to fit the new event program.
  • Add Surveys, Polls, and Q&A to Sessions: Ensure engagement tools are properly attached to sessions.
  • Create Push Notifications: Draft and schedule push notifications to keep attendees informed.

Final Step

  • Publish the App: Once all configurations are complete, publish the app to make it accessible to Testers Only or All Attendees.
