Using the New Networking Feature

The Networking feature in Amego has been redesigned to make it easier for attendees to discover and connect with the most relevant people at your event. Instead of scrolling through a long directory, attendees now see smart recommendations, simple filters, and a guided way to update their profile for better networking.

1. Edit Profile on First View

To improve connections, attendees are prompted to complete their profile if they skipped this step during onboarding.

• The Edit Profile screen appears the first time an attendee enters Networking.
• Shown only once, after opting in (if opt-in is enabled).
• Can include integrated EMS fields.

Completed profiles improve recommendations and the overall networking experience.

2. “For You” Default View

Networking now shows up to 250 recommended attendees, sorted by relevance instead of the entire attendee list.

• Recommendations prioritize attendees in the same sessions who have updated profiles.
• Results are not alphabetized, ensuring faster and smarter discovery.
• When powered by AI, attendee profile data is used to prioritize For You recommendations.

Attendees immediately see the most relevant people without endless scrolling.

3. For You Instructions

Once the attendee scrolls through their top recommendations, they’ll see a prompt to discover more connections:

• Use Filters to refine results.
• Use Search to find specific people.

This provides quick access to more advanced discovery tools.

4. Simple Filters

Filters make it easy to navigate the attendee list without scrolling through everyone.

• Sort by Last Name (with alphabetical navigation).
• Sort by Company Name (with alphabetical navigation).

Simple ways to access the entire directory, if desired.

5. Advanced Filters

For events with additional attendee attributes enabled, those attributes are available as filters.

• Includes all default name-sorting options.
• Any custom filters configured in Settings → Attendees will also appear.

Provides the most precise attendee discovery possible.
