Custom Icons
Custom Icons allows you to update the standard icons used throughout your mobile app to better match your event branding and visual style.

You can replace default system icons — like session enrollment or attendee connections — directly in the CMS, giving your app a more polished, on-brand experience.

What are Custom Icons?

CMS admins upload their own SVG icon files to replace default app icons. This gives you control over the look and feel of key actions and navigation elements across the mobile app.

Why use Custom Icons?

Updating your icons helps you:

  • Match your brand style and guidelines
  • Create a more cohesive visual experience
  • Modernize or simplify the UI
  • Highlight important actions
  • Differentiate your event from template-style apps

Small design updates can make a big impact on perceived quality.

What can be customized?

You can update standard app icons such as:

  • Session enrollment / add to agenda
  • Attendee connections
  • Engagement or networking actions
  • Common navigation or action icons

(Available icons will appear in the Icons section of the CMS.)

How to update icons

  1. Log into Amego Admin
  2. Navigate to Design → Icons
  3. Select the icon you want to replace
  4. Upload your custom SVG file
  5. Save your changes

File requirements

To ensure icons display correctly, use:

  • SVG format only
  • Simple vector shapes
  • No embedded images
  • Minimal strokes and effects
  • Clean outlines for small sizes

SVGs scale best across devices and maintain sharpness on all screens.

Best practices

Keep it simple

Icons are often small — avoid too much detail.

Stay consistent

Use a consistent:

  • Stroke width
  • Corner radius
  • Style (outline vs filled)
  • Visual weight

Match your brand

Align icons with your:

  • Brand colors
  • Visual tone
  • Existing design system

Test legibility

Preview icons at small sizes to ensure they’re easy to recognize.

Tips for success

  • Replace icons in batches to maintain consistency
  • Use universally recognizable symbols
  • Avoid text inside icons
  • Keep accessibility in mind (clear shapes over decorative designs)
