Amego Offline Capabilities

Amego Branded apps and EventsGo apps offer offline functionality, ensuring attendees can access key event information even in low or no network conditions.

Branded Apps

  • All sessions, speakers, sponsors, and select attendee content are preloaded into the app file published in app stores.
  • When attendees download the app, they immediately have a local cache of all event data.
  • After login, the app performs an initial update to bring in the attendee’s personalized agenda and additional attendee data.
  • From there, the local cache is maintained with minimal server interaction.

EventsGo Apps

  • Due to it being a container app, the Event data is not preloaded in the downloaded file. Instead, it is pulled into the local cache once the attendee logs in.
  • While this process takes slightly longer than in Branded apps, the data sets are small, and the cache update is completed quickly.
  • Once updated, EventsGo apps function similarly to Branded apps, offering smooth offline performance.

Key Benefits

In both app types:

  • Fast Performance: Local caching minimizes reliance on the server.
  • Offline Access: Attendees can use the app seamlessly, even in low/no network conditions.
  • Interactive Features: Server connections are only required for dynamic activities such as networking or gamification.
