Attendee Chat Settings
Amego supports attendee chat in various sections of the app:
- 1:1 Chat: Individual conversations within the networking section.
- Group Chat: Topic-based group discussions within networking.
1:1 Chat Settings
To enable 1:1 chat:
- Navigate to Networking > Basics > Chat Status in the CMS.
- Enable the chat feature.
Once enabled, any opted-in attendee (including speakers) can start a private chat with another opted-in attendee by tapping the Chat tab on their profile.

Group Chat Settings
To set up group chat:
- Navigate to Networking > Basics and set a default channel category (e.g., "General"). This category is for internal organization and will not be visible to attendees.
- Go to Channel Settings and create group chat topics one at a time.
- These topics will appear on the Messages screen within the networking section.
- They are accessible to all opted-in attendees.
- Use the Order Channels tab to organize the order of group topics as they appear.
Upcoming Updates
We’re excited to announce that we’re adding new functionality to the chat feature, including enhanced user visibility. While we work on these improvements, the Users tab is temporarily disabled. Stay tuned for updates as we enhance your chat experience!
