Creating “Sponsored By” Sessions in Swoogo
Learn how to set up and display “Sponsored By” information for sessions in Swoogo and connect it to Amego using a custom field and API mapping.

To display sponsor information for specific sessions in your event app, you’ll need to set up a custom “Sponsored By” field in Swoogo and have it mapped to Amego via API. Here’s how to do it:

Step 1: Set Up the Custom Field in Swoogo

  1. Navigate to Sessions in your Swoogo dashboard.
  2. Create a custom field at the session level named Sponsored By.
  3. Choose Select as the field type.
  4. Populate the select field with the names of sponsors who are sponsoring sessions.
🔶 Important: The sponsor names must exactly match the names in the sponsor list to ensure proper display in the app.
  5. For each applicable session, select the corresponding sponsor from the “Sponsored By” dropdown.

Step 2: Share the Custom Field ID with Amego

After the custom field is created and sponsors are assigned to sessions:

  • Locate the custom field ID for “Sponsored By.”
    • Identify the Source Field ID in your EMS: Locate the Source Field ID from your EMS. This is the unique identifier for the custom field you want to import into Amego. Fields are pulled from Swoogo Global > Customize Fields > Contact/ Registrant (or Sessions) > Fields and then you have to hover over the edit button to see the URL at the bottom and pull the numbers from ID

  • Share that ID with the Amego team so it can be mapped to display in the app via API.

Step 3: Amego Maps Sponsor Name via API

Once Amego receives the custom field ID, the team will:

  • Map the “Sponsored By” field in the API.
  • Ensure sponsor names appear alongside their associated sessions in the app.
