Engagement: Q&A
Adding Q&A for your Sessions is a very simple way to increase audience engagement.

Our Q&A feature includes a word cloud option and gives you a way to moderate attendee questions.

Q&A Setup

To create a Q&A, go to Notifications > Q&A. You can easily create a question and have it ready to add to sessions.

Step 1: Create the Q&A

Setting

  • Name - Give your Q&A a name - this is not shown to attendees.
  • Session Timing - Decide when you want your Q&A to publish. Immediately means now, so you can gather feedback well in advance of a session. The other times are based on the start time of the session you'll choose in Step 2.
  • Question Text - Enter your Q&A question. Note that if you want to use a word cloud it's best to specify that answers should be 1-2 words.

Step 2: Add the Q&A to a session(s)

Go to Content > Sessions > Engagements to add a Q&A to a session. You can only add one Q&A per session.

Step 3: Generate a Results URL to see responses

Pick the session for which you want to display the Q&A results via web, and select a timing that is within the time range that you want the URL to be active (i.e., before the end of your event) and click Generate.

Then, copy the resulting URL:

Viewing Results

Just paste the URL into your browser and you will see a Word Cloud and the Question Responses. This web page will be rendered using your logo from Design and your primary brand color. The page will update every few seconds automatically.

Click the check box to move questions up into the 'Moderate' section, so you could shrink the 'to be answered' list down to a manageable number of questions. Note: this page is not intended for public sharing but that's up to you. If you hover over the Magnifying glass icon, you can see the first name and last initial of the attendee who submitted the question

Our Word Cloud uses an open source Word Cloud tool. The more results, the better, so avoid using it with small audiences.
