Agenda Colors By Session Type

Displaying Session Type Colors in My Agenda

The Agenda Colors feature allows you to visually distinguish different types of sessions in My Agenda by applying unique highlight, background, and text colors based on session attributes such as Session Type, Track, or other custom attributes.

This makes it easier for attendees to quickly identify sessions at a glance and improves overall agenda usability.

Before You Begin

Before assigning agenda colors, make sure the following are set up:

  • Session attributes (e.g., Session Type, Track) are created and applied to sessions
  • Your event color palette is configured in Design > Colors

Step 1: Configure Session Attributes

Agenda colors are driven by session attributes, so this step must be completed first.

  1. Navigate to Settings > Content > Attributes
  2. Create or review the attribute you want to use (for example, Session Type or Track)
  3. Ensure the attribute values are applied to your sessions

Step 2: Set Up Agenda Colors

Once your attributes are in place, you can assign colors to each attribute value.

  1. Go to Design > Colors > Agenda Colors
  2. Select the attribute you want to base your colors on (e.g., Session Type)
  3. For each attribute value, choose:
    • Highlight Color – used for emphasis elements
    • Background Color – used for the session card background
    • Text Color – used for session text

Step 3: Manage Available Colors

All colors available in the Agenda Colors selector come directly from your event’s color palette.

To manage or update these colors:

  1. Navigate to Design > Colors
  2. Add, edit, or remove colors as needed
  3. Return to Settings > Content > Agenda Colors to apply the updated palette

Where Colors Appear

Once configured, these colors will automatically display in My Agenda for attendees, helping them quickly differentiate sessions based on the selected attribute.

No additional publishing or syncing steps are required—changes take effect as soon as they are saved.

Tips & Best Practices

  • Use high-contrast text and background colors to ensure readability
  • Keep color usage consistent across similar session types
  • Avoid using too many colors, which can reduce visual clarity
