Sidekick Data Sources
The Data Sources section of Sidekick settings allows you to upload and build context for Sidekick to use. The more files and URLs that are updated, the more you are able to train the AI to use the sources you have provided. URLs are recommended, as they hold information that updates automatically. Files are useful, especially if you build a document for FAQ answers, but keep in mind that they are static; they cannot change or update automatically.
Suggested data sources include:
- The company website
- Websites about the product
- Websites on the event itself
- Websites on speakers
- An FAQ page*
- Any documentation that’s not available on the event website you would consider to be useful for Sidekick to know
- Google Docs, as long as they are public files.
*Best Practices Tip: Any time you ask a question that Sidekick doesn’t answer properly, write your own answer and save it as a file, such as Sidekick FAQ.txt, and upload the file to correct any answers. Keep it as a running document so you can make changes and amendments as they appear.
