Mobile version 5.16.2
This week’s updates give event teams more control over Sidekick, image carousels, scheduled notifications, and attendee access. Session capacity handling, SSO, LiveVoice audio, and personalized content were also improved across the attendee experience.
New features
• Customize Sidekick for each event: Event teams can now edit selected Sidekick prompt sections, including its identity, scope, and event-specific instructions. Locked sections still protect the core system behavior that powers Sidekick.
• Manage Sidekick actions in one place: A new Actions library lets teams create, search, edit, and organize reusable actions. Feed items can use actions from the event’s library, making it easier to maintain consistent attendee experiences.
• Refresh Sidekick data sources: Teams can now refresh data sources directly from Sidekick > Settings > Data Sources. Use Refresh from web source URLs or Reindex file for uploaded files when content changes, so Sidekick always uses the latest version.
• Style image carousels: Image carousels now support Full Width, Horizontal, and XL Horizontal styles. Horizontal and XL Horizontal carousels can use card layouts and outline colors, while Full Width remains an edge-to-edge banner.
• Opt in to Sidekick during onboarding: Event teams can add a Sidekick opt-in step to onboarding so attendees can choose whether to use Sidekick. The step includes configurable messaging and links to Sidekick settings.
• Open SSO automatically: Events using the new SSO-on-launch setting can open the SSO sign-in page when the app starts, reducing the steps attendees need to take before accessing the event. Attendees can still return to the email login flow if they close the SSO page.
Improvements and fixes
• Edit scheduled notifications: Scheduled push notifications can now be edited until they are sent, including their audience, timing, image, call to action, and send settings. Once a notification has been sent, only supported message details remain editable.
• More accurate session capacity: Repeated sessions can now have different capacity limits for each time slot. Full-session messaging and the Hide Full Sessions filter now reflect the capacity of the specific slot the attendee is viewing.
• A consistent For You experience: For You indicators now appear consistently across session, speaker, and sponsor lists and details, and recommended content is easier to view.
• LiveVoice audio stays private: LiveVoice now keeps audio routed to headphones or the device receiver instead of the loudspeaker. The output toggle has been removed from the LiveVoice screen. Attendees without headphones may need to hold the device close to hear the audio.
• Improved attendee login branding: The six-digit verification-code screen now displays the event app logo, helping attendees confirm they are signing in to the correct event app.
• Cleaner session presentation: Session titles no longer appear over the header image when attendees switch to non-Info tabs such as polls, Q&A, or files.
All features are available in the most recent version of Amego.
