What's new
This past week produced many improvements, including more control over app screens, expanding Sidekick carousels, and other fixes to help streamline agendas and schedules.
What's new
- Find events faster. Attendees can now search for events by name, and each event appears as a card showing its image, dates, and location, plus a View Event button. To add an image, upload a 1280×720 PNG or WEBP file for each event in Amego Admin.
- Customizing the For You tab. In your screen settings, you can now place the For You tab first or last, show the screen without it, or turn it off completely.
- Expanded Sidekick carousels. Sidekick carousel cards now hold up to 12 linked items instead of the previous 5, and you can also customize Sidekick's text and screen-background colors.
- Open Sidekick from anywhere. Sidekick can now be opened from links and buttons throughout the app using standard navigation. If Sidekick isn't available for an account, attendees see a clear message instead.
- Link Sidekick to session topics. Sidekick cards and actions can now take attendees straight to sessions with a specific attribute, such as a category or level.
- Image carousels on home screens. Home screens can now include image carousels for promotional banners, which can feature multiple images, links, and optional titles.
- AI credit alerts. You'll now get a heads up when your AI credits are running low or if they have run out, along with simple steps for adding more.
Fixes and improvements
- Onboarding stays off when you turn it off. If you've disabled onboarding in Amego Admin, the app now checks your latest settings first, so attendees won't see onboarding screens you've switched off.
- Agenda order stays the way you set it. Sessions now keep the order you chose for each day, even when that order isn't strictly by start time.
- My Schedule stays up to date. Sessions that have ended now drop off My Schedule automatically while the app is open, refreshing every 30 seconds.
- Clearer messages for full sessions. For events using RainFocus, if a session is already full, Amego now lets the attendee know right away instead of showing it as booked.
- Your content surveys are safe. Changing other content settings no longer affects your existing content surveys.
- More behind-the-scenes improvements. This week also includes improved session filtering, updated event-specific configuration, localization fixes, security updates, and several fixes to Sidekick content and navigation.
