For You gives each attendee their own set of recommendations. It provides personalized recommendations for sessions, speakers and sponsors, so instead of scrolling through a long agenda or sponsor list, attendees see what's relevant to them first.
For You is now available on more screens, and you choose how it shows up on each one.
Enable Recommendations (Global AI Setting)
Settings > Content > Enable Recommendations is a global flag that turns on AI-powered recommendations across the app. It's also available under Sessions > Settings. There's nothing to configure here beyond turning it on or off — it doesn't have its own settings.
Enable Recommendations must be turned on for the Library, Sponsors, Speakers, and Attendees "For You" tabs to work. If it's off, none of the "For You" tabs will show recommendations — even if their individual Enable For You Tab toggle (or, for Attendees, the Networking > Basics setup) is turned on.
Where You Can Use For You
You can turn on For You for these screens:
- Networking
- Sessions (Library)
- Sponsors
- Speakers
Each screen has its own setting, so you can set them up differently.
Display Options
Each screen has an Enable For You setting with four options:
- Yes, as the first tab: For You is the first tab attendees see on that screen. Use this when recommendations should lead.
- Yes, as the last tab: For You comes after your other tabs. It's easy to find, and the screen's usual layout stays in front.
- Yes, but do not show the For You tab: Recommendations are turned on behind the scenes, but the screen doesn't get a separate For You tab.
- No: For You is off for that screen.
How to Set It Up
- In the CMS, open the screen you want to update (Sessions, Sponsors or Speakers).
- Scroll down to Enable For You.
- Pick a display option.
- Select Save.
- To enable For You for Attendees, go to Networking > Basics. Find the For You setup option and configure it there.
Repeat for each screen where you want For You.
Our Recommendation
Turn For You on and show the tab. Personalized recommendations are one of the most useful things Amego offers attendees, and they only help if attendees can find them. Without them, a 200-session agenda is just a long list.
At minimum, choose Yes, but do not show the For You tab so recommendations are still on. The tab-off option is there for events that need a leaner layout. For most events, leave the tab on.
General Notes
- Settings are per screen. For example, For You can be the first tab on Sessions and the last tab on Sponsors.
- Visibility rules still apply. For You only recommends content an attendee can already see.
