Attendee Matching
Attendee Matching lets you set rules that shape how Sidekick matches attendees to each other. Sidekick uses attributes, but attendee matching is one additional step, as it allows you to control Sidekick and tell it what to do with attributes by determining which qualities make a match more likely, and which qualities keep two attendees from being suggested to each other at all.
Sidekick builds attendee matches from two layers of data: explicit tags (what attendees or organizers typed in directly, such as interests, role, company) and implicit attributes (what Sidekick has inferred from behavior: sessions attended, profiles viewed, who someone's messaged).
Attendee Matching is the third layer on top of both: it contains rules you set that tell Sidekick how to weigh what it already knows. You're not giving Sidekick new information about attendees. Instead, you’re providing instructions for what to do with the information it has.
Attendee Matching Rules
A rule is built from an existing tag or attribute, plus a direction. Boost increases and encourages a match between attendees, based on like interests, experience in the events industry, and similar regions. Exclude makes sure attendees aren’t suggested to each other for a particular reason, such as a lack of interest overlap, competitors, or regional differences.
