Welcome Message
Welcome Message is a warm greeting delivered on first use of Sidekick to explain the experience and point attendees at the best places to start. It’s the first impression attendees get of Sidekick.
For attendees, an AI companion inside an event app isn't something most have used before, and a new tool with no explanation could get ignored or poked at once and abandoned. Welcome Message answers the obvious first questions–what is this, what can it do for me, where do I start–right when an attendee is most likely to be paying attention, instead of leaving them to stumble into Sidekick's value on their own.
For organizers, every feature you've built into Sidekick only pays off if attendees actually engage with it, and adoption starts on first open. A clear, confident welcome is what turns "I guess there's an AI thing in here" into an attendee who knows exactly where to look for their agenda, their matches, or their next session. Welcome Message ensures that your event will be a success from the onset.
Creating your Welcome Message
A Feed Item Name is the name of the feed item as it appears in Amego Admin and identifies which recommendation type you're configuring. It will already be determined based on the selected recommended feed item, and it cannot be edited.
Your Sidekick Text is the message attendees see in their feed, and it can be personalized. Write it the way you'd want Sidekick to say it out loud: short, clear, and specific to what the attendee is about to see.
Once you have determined your text, you will determine the actions attached to your feed item. For more information on Actions, please consult Actions Article.
Next, choose your audience. For more information on Audience groups, please consult Audience Groups.
Finally, choose your timing for when you want this alert to enter the attendees’ feeds. You can set multiple schedules to act as reminders for certain times before events, for events that happen on multiple days, or other reminders For more information on timing, please consult Scheduling.
