Upcoming Sessions
Upcoming Sessions display sessions that are about to start, helping attendees stay on track with their agenda. It eliminates the need for an attendee to constantly check the app to see what's next, leaving the job to Sidekick instead.
For attendees, not every attendee has bookmarked sessions or registered ahead of time; plenty of people decide what to attend as the day unfolds. Upcoming Sessions keeps attendees oriented in real time, so they always know what's happening next without having to go looking for it.
For organizers, Upcoming Sessions keep attendees moving toward sessions instead of drifting around the event or losing track of the agenda entirely. It's a steady touchpoint that keeps the event's rhythm visible all day, which means better attendance across the board, not just for the sessions someone planned ahead to attend, but for the ones they'd walk right past otherwise.
Creating your Upcoming Sessions
A Feed Item Name is the name of the feed item as it appears in Amego Admin and identifies which recommendation type you're configuring. It will already be determined based on the selected recommended feed item, and it cannot be edited.
Your Sidekick Text is the message attendees see in their feed, and it can be personalized. Write it the way you'd want Sidekick to say it out loud: short, clear, and specific to what the attendee is about to see.
Once you have determined your text, you will determine the actions attached to your feed item. For more information on Actions, please consult Actions Article.
Next, choose your audience. For more information on Audience groups, please consult Audience Groups.
Finally, choose your timing for when you want this alert to enter the attendees’ feeds. You can set multiple schedules to act as reminders for certain times before events, for events that happen on multiple days, or other reminders For more information on timing, please consult Scheduling.
