Speaker Recommendations
Speaker Recommendations suggest speakers to follow based on attendee interests, matched to their professional background and event participation. Speaker Recommendations also allow Sidekick to point attendees toward the people worth their attention, not just the sessions.
For attendees, a large event can have dozens, sometimes hundreds, of speakers, and most attendees never get past the handful whose sessions happen to land on their schedule. Speaker Recommendations surface the ones actually worth following based on what an attendee cares about, so an attendee finds the right voices even if their session isn't one they'd have stumbled into on their own.
Example: "This speaker's session on API security lines up with your background as a backend engineer — want to follow them?"
For organizers, speakers put real effort into being at your event, and the ones who get discovered by the right audience are the ones who come back, recommend you to others, and deliver the kind of buzz that makes the event successful. Speaker Recommendations engage attendees with speakers based on genuine fit rather than whoever has the best time slot, which means better turnout to follow-up content, more relevant Q&A, and speakers who feel like their session actually landed.
Creating your Speaker Recommendations
A Feed Item Name is the name of the feed item as it appears in Amego Admin and identifies which recommendation type you're configuring. It will already be determined based on the selected recommended feed item, and it cannot be edited.
Your Sidekick Text is the message attendees see in their feed, and it can be personalized. Write it the way you'd want Sidekick to say it out loud: short, clear, and specific to what the attendee is about to see.
Once you have determined your text, you will determine the actions attached to your feed item. For more information on Actions, please consult Actions Article.
Next, choose your audience. For more information on Audience groups, please consult Audience Groups.
Speaker Recommendations are scheduled to be automatic. They are prompted whenever an attendee sends a message to another attendee. For more information on timing, please consult Scheduling.
