Getting your event app into the App Store and Google Play isn't something you do alone — Amego handles the technical submission, but there are a few things we need from you before we can hit send.
The process starts with your app store accounts. If you're running a Branded app, you'll need an active Apple Developer account and a Google Play Console account, with Amego added as a team member on each. Once we have access, our team builds your app using the assets and settings you've configured in the CMS — your logo, colors, fonts, and app icon all get baked into the build at this stage, so it's worth double-checking Design and Global Settings before you give us the green light.
After the build is ready, we submit it to Apple and Google for review. Apple typically takes one to three days and will sometimes ask follow-up questions about login flows or content — if that happens, we'll loop you in right away since some answers need your input. Google's review is usually faster, often same-day. Once approved, your app goes live in both stores under the name and icon you set in Global Settings, and any future content changes you make in the CMS update instantly without a new submission — only design or configuration changes tied to app store metadata require us to resubmit.
A good rule of thumb: plan for two to three weeks between "ready to submit" and "live in both stores," especially if this is your first submission or your account is new to Apple's review process. Reach out to your Amego contact as soon as you know your target launch date so we can build in enough runway for review, fixes, and testing before doors open.
