Networking & Chat

Amego's networking features have been completely updated to make connecting with other attendees easier and more engaging. Attendees can now explore enhanced profiles, a filtered directory, native chat, chat groups, and a messaging carousel on the home screen. Organizers also have tools to moderate chat effectively.

Each attendee now has an updated profile that displays key information and makes networking more meaningful.

4. Chat Groups (Feed)

Chat groups act as discussion feeds where multiple attendees can engage in conversations around topics, sessions, or networking interests. Group chats can also be configured so that only specific attendee types or tagged attendees have visibility and access.

A new messaging carousel on the home screen gives attendees quick access to recent chats, groups, and conversations, keeping networking top of mind.

6. Mute Chat Notifications

Attendees can now mute notifications for both direct attendee chats and group chats within Networking.

When a chat is muted: push notifications and lock screen notifications will no longer be sent for that conversation. New messages will still be visible within the app.

A notification indicator will appear on the Messages section in Networking to alert attendees that unread messages are available.

7. Moderating Chat

Organizers can moderate chat to ensure conversations remain professional and on-topic. This includes options to remove messages or manage participants as needed. To assign a moderator, navigate to Attendees → Attendees, click the Edit button for the attendee you want to grant moderator permissions to, and check the Moderator box.
